After a large outbreak of FSV Mainz 05 with 20 affected players and caregivers, a slight heart muscle inflammation had been found in newcomer Delano Burgzorg. “You would simply test the players free and get started, then tilts in the square at some point,” SCHMIDT said the “Mainz sports Image” (Wednesday). The duel with the FC Augsburg had been moved because of the many missing players. “I hope that no club experiences such an outbreak and that we are one last reminder that Corona is a serious illness and not a week vacation with Netflix on the couch,” said Schmidt. “Every player had the highest possible vaccination status, but this infection does not just get that way.”
